Foreclosure Information
Many of you are interested in learning more about foreclosed properties. Hatteras Island does offer some bank-owned properties for sale and there are also several "short sale" properties available. Short sales are properties that are typically somewhere in the pre-foreclosure process but buyers have the opportunity to purchase these after negotiating a price with the sellers and their lender that is lower than the owner's current pay off amount.
These foreclosures and short sale properties provide a great opportunity for finding a really great buy. However, there are also opportunities on the market on Hatteras Island that are not in threat of foreclosure that present similar "great buy" opportunities.
As a Realtor familiar with the foreclosure and short sale process, as well as recognizing value priced properties, I would love to help guide you to some of these properties. I have obtained the Certified Distressed Property Expert designation and have listed and sold Bank Owned and Short Sale properties. Experience with these types of properties is important when choosing a Realtor® if you have interest in pursuing these deals.

You can also feel free to contact me to ask that I keep an eye out for properties that meet your criteria. Often, distressed properties are priced so favorably that they sell quickly. It is best to be pre-approved for a mortgage and have a Buyer's Agent looking out for you so that you can act quickly and take advantage of some of the best deals available. It doesn't cost you to have a Buyer's Agent and I am anxious to help you on your search!
